The summer reading game Make Waves @ your library has begun in conjunction with the HC public library. Students can sign up in person or online and just for registering receive a free ice cream at Chick-Fil-A, a free snowball from The Snowball Stand, and free tickets to a Bowie Baysox game.

interested in trying out for a fall sport are urged to attend our Fall Sports Sign-up evening on Monday, August 9th, from 4:30-6:00PM in the MTH Cafeteria and hand in the following to their coach in order to try-out on Saturday, August 14: EFFECTIVE WITH THE FALL, 2010, ATHLETIC SEASON, ALL STUDENT ATHLETE CANDIDATES MUST HAVE HAD AN IMPACT CONCUSSION BASELINE TEST PERFORMED AT THE SCHOOL BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN TRY-OUTS.

This rocket project video was the result many tests and trials (including a complete redesign) over the course of several months. A final video compilation will be posted soon, but some of the initial videos can be seen at the MTH AOOD 2010 Youtube channel (with views from the rocket in HD!). Videos are also available at the Schooltube website for access within Howard County Public Schools, but due to the limitations of their website will unfortunately not be in HD.

The Mt. Hebron PTSA is looking for volunteers to help with the Mulch Sale this Saturday morning. They need pickup trucks for delivery, as well as people who can load bags of mulch into trucks from 7am - 12pm. The money from the mulch sale benefits the AfterProm Party, a chemical free party for students to go to after the prom. If you can volunteer an hour or two Saturday morning please stop by Mt. Hebron and help out.
